The Victorian Taxi Association is proud of the achievement of one of our Operator Members, Manzoor Mian from Ararat Cabs who received a Victorian Multicultural Award for excellence for his meritorious service to the community in December 2015.

Manzoor was honoured for his contribution to Victoria at Government House, by Helen Kapalos, Chairperson Victorian Multicultural Commission, the Hon Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria and the Hon Robin Scott MP, Minister for Multicultural Affairs. The Governor was also in attendance, along with Manzoor’s family.

This award was granted to him for sharing the Islamic culture with the Muslim and non-Muslim community for the past 20 years. Alongside his business activities, Manzoor works for the welfare of the community. The industry is proud to have Manzoor involved in it and also of the work he does in the broader community, engaging with people of all religions and continuing the development of the multicultural nature of the Australian society.
