Early this year, the TSC began a review of the driver agreement implied conditions introduced in July 2014 to determine if the changes introduced were being complied with, whether they were achieving the desired outcomes for drivers and analyse the impact of any other impacts. Operators and drivers may have contributed to surveys available in February. The review was initially due to be completed by mid-year.
However, in order to get a complete picture of the impact of the changes, the TSC have decided to delay the review and analyse a full year's worth of data up to June 2015. The TSC have collected the additional data necessary and are well on the way to completing the analysis.
Final results are expected later in the year, probably post-September, once TSC has had opportunity to discuss the findings with the Minister for Transport.
