Plenty of drivers took the opportunity to stop by the VTA base in Port Melbourne on the last day of April to enjoy a curry, catered by the Curry Truck, while catching up with fellow industry friends on a sunny Autumn day.

The lunch provided an opportunity for drivers to discuss and be updated on important issues facing the industry by the VTA staff. Some of the hot topics included ride share apps and the Knowledge test.

The VTA also distributed 'Guide Dogs Welcome' and  'Check for Bikes' stickers  to encourage drivers to show support for guide dogs in our cabs and to help reduce car dooring incidents on our streets.

The VTA regularly hosts driver events throughout the year as a way to give something back to drivers who provide a wonderful service to the public, day in and day out.

Drivers can be kept up to date on all things taxis by liking the 'Vic Taxi Drivers' Facebook page and be the first to know about upcoming driver events.
