The TSC recently announced that several adjustments will be made to the new Knowledge test for new and existing metropolitan and urban taxi drivers.
These changes will be implemented from 8 February 2015:
1. Publication of a Knowledge handbook - a handbook to help people prepare for the Knowledge will be available for download from early February.
2. Limit on the number of attempts - from 8 Feb applicants will be able to sit each module two times in a 3 month period (rather than twice in 12 months). Drivers whose accreditation has been cancelled prior to 8 Feb will be able to re-sit the necessary modules after 3 months from the date of their first attempt.
3. Feedback - applicants will receive a percentage score when they complete a module showing the percentage of the 55 questions that the applicant got right.
The TSC are also making ongoing changes to the way questions are worded and presented based on the results of individual questions. You can read the full announcement from the TSC here.
