The VTA are glad to be able to provide a revised VTA Model Bailment Agreement and instructions for use.  Both documents are available for download on our website here.
 
We have encountered hurdles finalising the document due to errors identified in the TSC's model agreement and wording of the implied conditions but are confident that our agreement will ensure compliance with the implied conditions.
 
The model agreement itself follows a similar structure to the VTA's old model bailment agreement but has been revised in light of the reforms that have come in to effect since 30 June 2014.
 
The VTA strongly encourages all Permit Holders and Drivers to have a written bailment agreement in place that complies with legal and regulatory requirements and clearly outlines roles and responsibilities of both parties.
