Driving.
To drive a wheelchair-accessible taxi, drivers must also pass
the Course in Wheelchair-accessible Taxi Services.
Before enrolling in the Course in Taxi Driving, applicants need
to obtain a Taxi Driver Training Passport.
Before they can start driving a taxi, applicants must:
- Successfully complete the Course in Taxi Driving
- Get their Taxi Driver Training Passport endorsed by the
registered training organisation
- Pay the Driver Accreditation issue fee.
The Course in Taxi Driving provides the skills and knowledge
taxi drivers need to become industry accredited.
For more information on driver training please visit Course in Taxi
Driving on the VTD website
Networks in the Outer Suburban, Urban, and Country zones will
provide driver training in these areas.
Please note, regardless of which zone you drive in you are still
required to become accredited.
