Network Accreditation
Network service providers are covered by the accreditation
scheme introduced on 31 December 2007. This also includes secondary
network services providers.
To become accredited, networks must meet the minimum business
and services standards and regulations as set out by the Victorian
Taxi Directorate (VTD).
The minimum business service standards include:
- Information and compliance with applicable legislation
- Business capability
- Records management
- Financial viability
- Safety of taxi-cab drivers, customers and members of the
public
- Customer service
- Dealings with industry participants, customers and
government
- Complaint handling processes and
- Education and training.
