Taxi Inquiry's Figures Don't Add Up

  • Posted on 31 Aug 2012

The VTA have expressed concerns that the results of economic modelling undertaken by the Victorian Taxi Inquiry suggests devastating implications for taxi businesses and ultimately service delivery.

The VTA is committed to reform, a key part of which must be retaining business viability. Importantly, the Association sees and strong link between industry profitability and improving service delivery outcomes.

Further, we acknowledge that much more needs to be done to ensure a fair distribution of income within the industry. However, if business are left in an unsustainable and unprofitable position there will not be any revenue to distribute.
