SILVER TOP TAXIS BACK IN BUSINESS

As of 6.30am this morning, less than 24 hrs after a devastating fire at their Collingwood premises, Silver Top Taxis and their 131 008 number are back in business.

Prospective customers can call 131 008 for a Silver Top Taxi. Some patience will be required as Silver Top come back up to full capacity.

It is also important to note that the back to base driver alarm system is functioning.

There was no affect on EFTPOS operation during the Silver Top down time, and all taxis in the metropolitan area should have a functioning EFTPOS terminal fitted.

Silver Top Taxis has asked us to take this opportunity to thank the taxi industry, the Government, the Melbourne media, their drivers, staff and the community at large for their patience and assistance. In particular they would like to make special mention of:
