Now that the hubub of the Federal election is out of the way the race for government in Victoria has well and truly started as we head for a State election on Saturday 27th of November.
In regard to taxis, all parties are looking for the same thing - good customer service delivered on time by knowledgeable and well presented drivers in clean and safe taxis.
Fair enough, but all parties have to realise that the taxi industry is not subsidised by Government so taxi users have to pay the real cost of achieving the service they desire. The reality is that the Victorian taxi industry is being choked by high assignment prices, the cost of compliance, and importatly, by low fares.
