The VTA has received significant feedback about the new
Knowledge test. The current failure rate is alarming and cannot
continue. The industry has a role to play here (as does the
regulator). Drivers who intend to sit the Knowledge must ensure
they are adequately prepared. It is unlikely that someone will
pass the test without preparation.
By early next year all new drivers and drivers who have
held their DA for 5 years or less will be required to sit the
Knowledge. The VTA remain firmly opposed the retrospective aspect
of this testing, regardless it is the law. It is
important drivers are aware of the rules and the
processes prior to sitting the test.
We urge drivers to seek assistance and/or training before
undertaking the Knowledge. Please email us at email@example.com for a
list of training organisations and agencies who will be able
to assist you in preparing.
